Find the right outsourcing team
Gone are the days when it was very easy to find good outsourcing team for making project successful. Now a days there is more clutter around the networks.
While writing this article, I assure you that there may be dozen of outsourcing partners may have created or formulated. The team (may be individual) is not understanding the real power of outsourcing and why businesses do outsource software development works.
I do believe after successfully investing almost 10 years in the software company and building different projects, I could reveal some insights about finding right outsourcing team.
Don't look out for freelancing site:
Why?
- Because of job unavailability, people or immature software developer is creating lots of profile over there keeping fake information here and there. I myself hired some freelancers for different works - we weren't lacking experience for the same, and found at last we could have done very efficiently after learning it. However, if freelance was real expert I would have been much happier to outsource more works to him.
- There are many cluttered and false profiles along with multiple branding of the same team with different pricing models. The reason is client may get into trap of thinking price points. It is totally unethical, however there is no regulation whatsoever to stop it.
- Inexperience team.
Search through contacts:
I found this is the best way to find right outsourcing team. Our most of the clients come from existing clients. Why so? The reason is quite simple. Our existing clients are very happy with our services and therefore always market for us.
The same thing happens for you. If you consult your contacts, may be your contacts have good reference to start with. Moreover, just don't be intimidated with reference. Have solid foundation as how you want your team to be. If they fall within criteria, then only you should hire them.
Search through social sites or Internet:
Very time consuming though. Why? Again so many cluttered profiles. However one thing is sure - if you want to make your project successful you should get to the length for finding the team. Gran the notepad and start taking notes about different outsourcing partners and compare against your criteria. Try to contact with them and after initial screening, you should start sending requirement details for getting right proposal.
May be you are interested in sending requirement details, however my concern is, if you don't reveal the proper detail, then how outsourcing partner is going to make proposal.
Also make sure to read and re-read your requirement details while you are searching for the team so that you could make them understand your project fully without or less doubts.
